Psychology Department

The Psychology Department provides a broad range of behavioral health services with a focus on psychological and behavioral evaluation, treatment, and consultation services for the Fort Lewis community.

The service mission of Psychology Department is to provide evidence-based behavioral health services oriented to optimize soldier behavioral readiness through assessment, treatment, and preventive efforts provided across multiple services and subspecialties.

The Department of Psychology's primary areas of operation include:

  Behavioral Health Services (BHS)
  Health Psychology Service (HPS)
  Soldier & Family Readiness Service (SFRS)
  Pediatric Psychology Service (PPS)
  Clinical Psychology Internship Program (CPIP)
  Neuropsychology Service (NPS)

We are also working to help technology better serve the Army Community through our new E-Health initiatives and through research.

Regional Information

The Western Regional Medical Command (WRMC) is the home of the Madigan Army Medical Center(MAMC).  The WRMC is a United States Army Command which supports U.S. Army National Guard and Reserve units in six western states: Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, and California.

The Psychology Department is located in the West Wing of Madigan Army Medical Center, on the first floor, past the outpatient pharmacy. See MAP.  Soldier & Family Readiness Service is located at OMAMC Bldg 9924B and accepts walk in appointments
