Statistics

MAMC General Surgery residents consistently perform above the national average on the yearly ABSITE exam. Furthermore, graduates of the MAMC General Surgery Residency program fare very well on certifying exams. More than 95% of graduates in the last ten years passed the written and oral boards on their first attempts, and all passed on their second attempts (nationwide pass rates are 75-79% and 81-84% in recent years). Several recent graduates have gone on to complete military and civilian fellowships in specialties that include cardiothoracic, vascular, colorectal, and oncologic surgery.
