Directions

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Service is located in Madigan Army Medical Center and can be reached by taking I-5 Exit 122 and turning onto Gardner Loop and then turning into the Southwest “Orange” Parking Lot. Physical Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Service is located on the first floor of the Hospital Tower along the South Corridor between Radiology and the Emergency Room.

About

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Service at Madigan Army Medical Center provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and educational/consultative services for patients whose function has declined due to medical conditions, surgical conditions, and neurologic, musculoskeletal, or pain related compromise. The outpatient consultations involve a variety of evaluation techniques, including performance of electro-diagnostic studies, and results in prescription of a variety of equipment or modalities, such as specific forms of therapy, exercise, or durable medical equipment for diagnoses commonly involving pain disorders or neuropathies. Consultations regarding inpatients are also performed and often pertain to patients who have sustained brain injuries, strokes, spinal cord injuries, or poly-trauma.

Physical Therapy Clinic

The primary mission of the Physical Therapy Service is to provide a consistently high quality physical therapy care to the beneficiaries of Madigan Army Medical Center. This high quality care includes the optimal access to care and treatment skill levels consistent with producing the best possible outcomes.

Occupational Therapy Clinic

The mission for the Madigan Army Medical Center Occupational Therapy Service is to promote soldier readiness, healthy living and optimal performance among for patients using occupational therapy principles and practices. Provide OT services that reflect best clinical practices and are timely and cost efficient. Serve in primary care to diagnose and treat upper extremity injuries and illnesses. Develop ergonomic strategies, policies, and programs to prevent injuries and decrease human and economic costs of injuries in the Department of Defense. Develop versatile, competent OT leaders who successfully manage clinic operations and serve in branch immaterial positions throughout the Army Medicine. To promote the optimal means of functional improvement and independence in an informative and supportive manner for patients with conditions affecting the musculoskeletal and neurologic systems.

Chiropractic Clinic

Our mission is to maintain a fit force and high level of unit readiness while simultaneously integrating the highest quality preventive, clinical, surgical, and rehabilitative services; research; and graduate medical education so that we are the choice for musculoskeletal care among all our health care beneficiaries.

*All Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) eligible beneficiaries can use our prescription services. The pharmacy can fill original prescriptions from civilian or military sources, and transfer refills from other military installations as long as the pharmacy carries the medication. Patients may also use TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery or a TRICARE civilian network pharmacy.
