Doors to the new headquarters for the Warrior Transition Battalion and the Soldier and Family Assistance Center were opened to service members, staff, Family and friends after a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Jan. 7. "This is a special day for the Joint Base Lewis-McChord community as we've reached another milestone for our service members and their Families," said JBLM Commander, Col. H. Charles Hodges. "Today we get to see the WTB truly consolidated with its entire operating compliment in order to accomplish its mission of healing and transitioning Soldiers and their Families," said Madigan Commander, Col. Dallas Homas. The completion of the WTB headquarters and SFAC building cost more than $17 million to build and completes the WTB complex that includes the state-of-the art barracks facility, which opened in August 2011.
