Welcome to the Behavioral Health Service LineThe Behavioral Health Service Line at Madigan Army Medical Center provides a comprehensive array of services to over 450,000 eligible Tricare beneficiaries comprising active duty soldiers assigned to Fort Lewis, Washington, their dependents, senior prime beneficiaries, and regionally to Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard beneficiaries. The BHS has a longstanding reputation for providing quality services and programs to include inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, evaluation and management of psychotropic medications, individual and group psychotherapy, diagnostic evaluation and psychological testing, neuropsychological services, child and adolescent care, command evaluations, addiction treatment programs, 24-hour on-call emergency care, Medical Social Work Services and child and spousal abuse services. The Behavioral Health Service Line has the responsibility for identifying, developing, monitoring, and refining clinical care, outcomes and applicable clinical pathways across the continuum of care. Additional closely related services include the 98th Combat Stress Detachment, the McChord Behavioral Health Service, and the Special Medical Augmentation Reaction Team - Stress Management (SMART-SM), and the behavioral health providers at the Fort Lewis Regional Confinement Facility.
