The Andersen Simulation Center (ASC) has been in existence since May of 2002. Due to its rapid success and the training of deploying medical personnel, the ASC has increased in size from 1,100 square feet to over 8,000 square feet of training space, with state-of-the-art simulation equipment.
Over 29,000 medical personnel have received training at the ASC since its inception, and over 6,300 in 2009 alone. Training at the ASC ranges from basic medical skills training to full blown trauma scenarios, and we host ACLS, ATLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC training programs. The ASC staff supports off-site training to units during field exercises and at Madigan Army Medical Center. The ASC also works with the Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC) in combined training activities to address transfer of care of the wounded soldier across echelons of care.
