CENTRAL SIMULATION COMMITTEE
The CSC was given its initial funding through The Army Surgeon General’s Office in April 2007. The CSC was formed, met, purchased a standard set of simulators for each specialty and MTF. They agreed upon a format for the curriculum, developed training Scenarios for each specialty, and then conducted the initial implementation training. The 10 MTFs hired the simulation administrators and training was initiated at all sites in 2008, where over 12,000 personnel were trained that calendar year, and more than 23,000 were trained in 2009. Funding for the CSC has been secured for the next several years with plans to expand to cover additional specialties. The current Medical Director for the ASC is also the Chairman for the CSC.
